Suren lives in Katnaghbyur with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson where they are engaged in agriculture. The familys main income comes from their agriculture enterprises and the household "family farm" includes seven cows, two sheep and 15 chickens. Suren also has 3/4 acre of potatos under cultivation and grows apple, grape and plum trees. Suren applied to SEF to buy a cow. This loan is being requested to allow Suren and his family to invest in another cow so that they may build their income and improve their daily lives. This MicroLoan was made under our agreement with www.kiva.org and has been disbursed through SEF International UCO LLC, a microfinance partner of World Vision International. SEF offers a wide variety of business loans to farmers, sole proprietors, and small enterprises, and their mission is to extend business development and financial services to emerging entrepreneurs in search of productive opportunities to support families and communities striving for a decent life for children in Armenia.
