To give away money is an easy matter and in any man's power... But to decide to whom to give it, and how large, and when, and for what purpose and how, is neither in every man's power nor an easy matter. ~ Aristotle Be Noble ... Planting trees in Bahoudii is a wonderful way to help us benefit the environment and impact the living systems within the Territory of the Kingdom. Through the planting of trees we are able to improve the land quality. Returning nutrients to the soil has a tremendously positive impact. With better soil conditions, more life is present. Wildlife and increased plant life are evident where trees are planted. Fruits and vegetables grow in rich, fertile soil. In addition, the shade provided from trees is an added benefit in an area known for its extreme heat. The trees also help to stablalize the land and protect the topsoil from the effects of wind erosion in an area know for it's almost constant windy conditions. Education about the earth's eco-system and our impact on the environment is something that goes hand in hand with this program. The trees reduce carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases. No specific species of tree has been chosen for the project, instead the plan calls for biodiversity in the mix of trees with fruit trees, oilseed trees and other varieties to insure biodiversity within the Territory, Our plan is to preserve natural resources like water and soil, and increase food supplies, enable fodder production, and facilitate bee-keeping that will hopefully lead to the development of local enterprises.
